Welcome to Childcare Network Opelika and we are happy to have you come and visit our center. My name is Sherrie Slaton, I have been at this location since June 2020 and I am elated to have the opportunity to get to know families in our community. At our school, we strive to ensure that parents feel safe and secure leaving their children with us and that those children leave every day smiling. We know that early education is integral in establishing a solid foundation for their child's educational journey.
Our goal for students is to foster an environment where each child can challenge themselves and achieve success. As many of our staff are parents themselves, we understand how rewarding, but also how demanding the role of a parent can be at times, especially a working parent. We are committed to providing a supportive community for the families we serve. We all want our students to be happy, nurtured, and provided with the best learning opportunities. Our staff members are dedicated to providing a safe environment and assisting your child on their learning journey while giving them the freedom to explore and develop in a warm and caring environment.

From creative arts and crafts to outdoor play, music, and early literacy programs, each day is filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage hands-on learning through play.

4/29/2026I have two children who attend this facility and I am grateful for each of their teachers. The teachers in the Bright Babies class keep me up to date on anything new that my child does. This week they have been working with him to sign "more" better. Ms. Carly and Ms. Ky have both been helpful with giving me more tips on how to further encourage my baby to sign other phrases. With my 3 year old who is in the PreKPA classroom with Ms. Niya and Kaiya, he is able to tell me what the class has done for that day. I love the fact that they do worksheets that I can work with him on at home. Although, the teachers rotate classrooms, I am able to receive the same warmth, encouragement and feedback from them all.

2/5/2026The ladies at the Opelika facility, teachers and office staff are always polite and appropriately loving on all the kids!!! They work with the kids in all the ways, potty training even when a child is special needs and delayed, educationally preparing for kindergarten. And much more!!! I have 3 family children in their facility from 2 yr old , to special needs 4 and 9 yr old.... and have NO issues with any manner of operation.

11/1/2025The entire staff provides exceptional care to my toddler and 4 month old sons. Everyone treats my children and all of the children there like each child is their own. My 4 month old's teachers communicate very well with me and even took the time out to assist me with filling out paperwork due to my son developing a diaper rash. In addition to this, my 2 year old's teachers check in with me to keep me updated on what was done that day in class and if anything needs to be provided on my end.

My baby started going at 7 weeks (now 6 months old) and I was so skeptical just because he was so young and my first didn’t go that early but the director, assistant, and all the workers made me and my baby feel so welcomed. Every time we come in and leave they all talk to him and love on him. They are all so down to earth and so friendly. You cannot ask for any better. They literally made the transition to go back full time so much easier.

7/31/2025I'll start by saying I love love love this daycare for my son, everyone is so sweet, helpful, offers me advice, offers amazing care to my son, and is just all around an amazing place! If ever there is an issue, they work diligently to ensure it gets fixed and we find a way to remain happy as parents of littles, and they will accommodate with ease. When having to decide on a daycare im so glad childcare network was there. They eased me and my son into a brand new routine, and made the transition from home to daycare super easy. My son began as a near newborn, and will be 2 in November and I can say I've been with Childcare Network the whole way, and they've been with me. I won't take my lil man anywhere else until he is of school age, just because I am so pleased with this daycare for him. 😍 Thank you to the ladies at the front who are always doing everything they can to make sure each and every day goes smoothly, and also the ladies in the back that work with the children. Yall deserve a raise and a bonus and so much more!! Thank you guys for being awesome every day. (:

7/28/2025Truly a wonderful establishment. My daughter has been going here for about 4-5 months and I have seen such tremendous growth. Verbally, socially, and emotionally. She had a very hard time the first week at drop off, but since then she hardly ever has a tough drop off. She loves her caretakers, her classmates and all the staff here. They all are very friendly and acknowledge my daughter whenever she arrives. Love this place and wouldn’t know how I could continue to work full time without it!

My daughter started attending in 2023 and I was going to work at my job. I was nervous to the world of daycare, but Ms. Sherry and her team put all of my worries at ease! They treat every child with tender love and care, and track every transition in life; from walking to potty-training and beyond. To say I am beyond THANKFUL for them is a vast understatement.
