Welcome to Childcare Network in Asheville, where we pride ourselves on being a high-quality early learning center. My name is Mary Virella, and I am the school Director. At our school, we strive to ensure that parents feel safe and secure leaving their children with us and that those children leave every day smiling. We know that early education is integral in establishing a solid foundation for their child's educational journey.
Our goal for students is to foster an environment where each child can challenge themselves and achieve success. As many of our staff are parents themselves, we understand how rewarding and demanding a parent's role can sometimes be, especially as a working parent. We are committed to providing a supportive community for the families we serve. We all want our students to be happy, nurtured, and provided with the best learning opportunities. Our staff members provide a safe environment and nurture your child on their learning journey while giving them the freedom to explore and develop in a warm and caring environment.

We believe in maintaining open and ongoing communication with parents. We provide regular updates via CN Moments, including photos, details of your child’s day, and important announcements. We also offer parent-teacher conferences and are always available for in-person or phone conversations.
Our HighReach Learning Curriculum incorporates a variety of activities designed to support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. From creative arts and crafts to outdoor play, music, and early literacy programs, each day is filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage hands-on learning through play.

6/2/2026My 16month old son has gone to Childcare Network since he was 3 months old. First the Fairview location and now Weaverville. There were some staffing issues while the previous assistant director was there with, at the time, no director over the daycare. Things got a little out of control for a while with many days of me missing work bc they couldn't take my child but it was out of their hands when staff would call out and I just have to say, since Mary has taken over as Director and Misty as Assistant Director, things have done a complete turnaround. They have taken my toddler everyday. Even when they have been short staffed they have had a spot for him. They also all love him so much and shower him with attention , affection, and knowledge. He wakes up talking about them and wanting to see them every morning. It is so nice to feel so comfortable and safe when you are dropping your literal heart off at daycare and leaving it in someone else's hands. And Mary, Misty, Gabby, Kaitlyn, and the rest of the teachers there have achieved that. Kudos to them for what they do! And thank you for loving my child like your own!

Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Misty the director and assistant director are both incredible and my daughter’s teachers, Mrs. Vicki and Mrs. Laura are also incredible teachers and do so well with my children. We are blessed they have teachers and staff who cares truly about our kids. All of the other teachers seem amazing as well!

8/14/2023The staff at Childcare Network is wonderful, which made leaving our 6 month old son there so much easier. Walking through the halls, you can just tell that the entire daycare is a community that cares for each other. I love how other kids say hi to our baby on our way in/out the door. The facility is spacious, clean, and bright. I like how it's tucked off the main road but still easy to get to. I do want to note that there have been some staffing shortages over the last few months, but I didn't knock a star off the rating because these staffing issues are universal at all daycares. The early childhood industry is in crisis post-covid.

3/6/2023My 3yr old daughter has been going to Childcare Network 176 for 6 months and we both love it. Her teacher Ms. Laura is amazing and she loves her. My daughter has blossomed since she started here. The administrative staff is friendly and caring. They are always there to answer questions and help anyway they can. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter here while I work because I know she's in good hands. The center is clean and welcoming. I definitely recommend sending your kids here. It is a little expensive but it's worth it for the care my daughter gets.

4/25/2016This center always provides top-notch care to children who attend. They're truly the working parent's best friend, even washing blankies for naptime and swimwear during the summer. They work very well with other professionals, so children who need any special services are able to receive them on-site. The center hosts programs such Soccer Shots and Computer Pals (for an additional fee), which give children access to even more educational and enrichment activities. The curriculum is thoughtful and well-designed, and children are always talking about what they've learned each day. The staff take great care of the kids, providing plenty of love and nurturing while caregivers are at work. If parents or caregivers want to come visit or check in during the day, the door is always open and they're welcomed. Great center, great admin & staff!

4/19/2016We love Childcare Network #176! My daughters started at Childcare Network over the summer at the ages of 2 and 9 months. We were extremely nervous about putting them in childcare for the first time, but the teachers and staff made the transition easier for both parents and kids. They are a talented and caring group of people and our kids love going there. My 2 year old always talks about how she wants to go to school and see her teachers and names every one of them! They have helped us with everything from getting our girls off the bottle to potty training. I don't know what we would do without them. I also love seeing my girls come home and sharing with me everything they have learned during the day. I would highly recommend this center and hope to keep my kids here until they enter Kindergarten.

3/23/2016My daughter has been going here for 3 years. The staff and teachers are great! Their early opening hours make it very convenient for working parents. I don't know what I would have done as a single mom who needed to be at work at 7 am if they didn't open at 6:30 and bus to school! Their school age teacher, Mr. Newkirk, is so great with the kids. The children respect him and he handles some awkard situations between children from different backgrounds with patience and professionalism. He emphasizes the importance of homework and helps them with their homework! Very thankful for this facility!

The morning and after care is so convenient, I just love that they have school buses that can take your children to and from school.
