Welcome to Childcare Network on Hawkesburg Drive in Clayton, NC! My name is Felicitas Johnston, and I am the School Director. I started working in Early Childhood Education as a teacher in 2003 and became a director in 2023. I am proud to say we have been growing into so much more than a daycare. I firmly believe that providing a quality early education during the first five years of a child's life will play an integral role in establishing a solid foundation for their later educational journey.

11/11/2025EDITED: was previously rated super low due to management basically. Since then they have made quite the turn away since it is no longer under that management anymore. Childcare industry still is one that tends to have a high turnover so there are still occasionally some times that there aren’t enough staff to accommodate everyone right away in the morning and going into sick season, doesn’t help that. Even with that said, I don’t blame them because they are doing their best and better at actually working on getting g staffed and there’s actually communication going on as there wasn’t before. The only reason I’m giving this place any stars is because of the teachers. My daughter loved them dearly and I did too. We had to leave due to several reasons. They had several teachers leave all at once during a time of management change… causing a crisis and in turn, being turned away when going to drop your kid off in the morning. Happening for several weeks to the point of people being lined up before the center even opened and still getting turned away. If the situation was handled differently, my feelings towards it all may have been different, but that was not the case. The fact that we were working parents that had to risk our jobs everyday by calling out constantly within a few weeks span didn’t seem to phase our management when they always got to make sure they had their stuff taken care of and prance in when the chaos had subdued and not have to deal face to face with the parents. Communication needs to be 100% better if this place will ever succeed again. Thankfully we transferred but that didn’t stop our ointment that we brought to school for my daughter from to get thrown away as soon as they had the chance to even though I was coming to get it. I am very disappointed in everything about this school except the teachers that are doing everything they can under the circumstances they are given.
