Welcome to Childcare Network in Southport, where we are committed to offering a high-quality early learning experience for every child. My name is Shannon McHale, and I am proud to serve as the Director. With over a decade of experience in education, I began my career as a special education teacher, later transitioning to a coordinator of special education programs before moving to North Carolina and taking on this exciting role as Director.
My journey working with children started with my first job as a lifeguard and water safety instructor, where I taught children life skills through play and practice. It was in those early moments that I discovered my passion for teaching and guiding young minds.
At Childcare Network, my goal is to create an inclusive environment where every child can grow and thrive. I truly believe that every child is capable of learning, and I’m excited to support their success through compassion, empathy, and play. Our team are incredibly kind, caring, and capable, modeling positive relationships, appropriate problem-solving, and the growth mindset I want our students to embrace.
I am most excited about the opportunity to continue serving the community I live in. Having transitioned from the local school district, I know how important it is to support our youth, and I firmly believe they are the future. I look forward to building strong, lasting relationships with the families we serve.
Feel free to stop by or contact us for more information. I look forward to meeting you and your child!
