Welcome to Childcare Network in Charlotte, where we pride ourselves on being a high-quality early learning center. My name is Sonya Dodd, and I am the school Director. At our school, we strive to ensure that parents feel safe and secure leaving their children with us and that those children leave every day smiling. We know that early education is integral in establishing a solid foundation for their child's educational journey.
Our goal for students is to foster an environment where each child can challenge themselves and achieve success. As many of our staff are parents themselves, we understand how rewarding and demanding a parent's role can sometimes be, especially as a working parent. We are committed to providing a supportive community for the families we serve. We all want our students to be happy, nurtured, and provided with the best learning opportunities. Our staff members provide a safe environment and nurture your child on their learning journey while giving them the freedom to explore and develop in a warm and caring environment.

1/10/2026Our first year here was a bit of a rocky start, but the positive changes over the past year have been truly remarkable. Since Ms Jay stepped into the role of assistant director, staffing is now where it needs to be, communication has improved, & the overall atmosphere is stable & supportive. Plus she’s tons of fun! Our kids love their teacher, Ms Anitha. She plans engaging crafts & activities, makes sure they get outside to play, & nurtures their love of “reading.” Oh, & shares photos with us to boot! It’s obvious how much care & thought she puts into their days. Ms Sonya has also been a wonderful addition as director, helping reinforce the positive momentum we’re seeing across the school. Special shoutouts to Ms Johnny & Ms Davis as well, who treat our kids like family! We feel lucky to know our kids are spending their days in such a warm, enriching environment.

1/7/2026Finding the right daycare for my son was a long and frustrating process. We needed a place that met all of our needs; financially, transportation, location, activities, nutrition, and overall atmosphere. After visiting many options without success, I discovered Childcare Network in the SouthPark area, and it was s game-changer. From my very first phone call with Miss J, I felt reassured. She was patient, professional, and answered all of my questions thoroughly before scheduling a tour. During the tour, Miss Jonnie even stayed late so my son's father could see the facility, which meant so much to us. The registration process was clear, quick and organized. My son's teacher, Miss C, was amazing, highly engaged, and genuinely passionate about helping the children grow. The staff welcomed our family warmly and even encouraged me to contribute to summer activities, which made us feel like part of the community. Throughout our time here, any issues were handled promptly and with care. I especially appreciated how seriously they prioritized my child's safety, such as ensuring he was safely dropped off from the afternoon school bus. When I faced financial challenges, they were supportive, working with me to find solutions. Both the Director, Miss Sonia, and Assistant Director, Miss J, communicated with empathy and professionalism every step of the way. This is my son's fourth daycare since infancy (he is 8 now), and by far the best fit for us. It's close to home, in a great area, and fosters a caring, positive environment. I would definitely recommend Childcare Network to anyone looking for quality childcare. While challenges can happen anywhere, here they are handled with love and professionalism. Thank you to the entire staff for providing exceptional care and peace of mind as I entrust you with my most prized possession!

We used to routinely suffer through staff shortages where the infant room would be closed & we’d have to scramble to care for our kids & juggle work. That hasn’t happened in so long, & Ms Jay has been instrumental in that, in spite of not having a Director. Please consider paying her the Director salary until a new Director arrives!

Under Ms. J’s leadership, there’s been a noticeable increase in consistency—not just in daily routines & activities for the children, but also in communication with parents. The quality of the teaching team has also improved, & we have to give special recognition to Ms. Shameka, who has been a steady, positive presence throughout our daughter's time here. The teachers are so sweet and caring and I know my kids are safe. I have no reservations when I drop them off in the morning.

3/13/2025My daughter started last week and we’ve had a great experience so far. Miss Jay was super helpful in answering all my questions beforehand and providing reassurance and allowing me to view the facilities again before she started in the infant room. Miss Serena in the infant room is so sweet and communicative and receptive to trying to follow our schedule with our daughter. They all clearly care a lot about working with kids and were so sweet the first day dropping off our baby, holding her and getting her familiar with the classroom. Every time I’ve picked her up she’s been sleeping or very chill, clearly had a great day. They even do small activities for the infants to keep them engaged. The staff is so friendly and positive and communicate/ answer your questions well it makes it easier to leave your baby with them all day.
